Pardee Lake Recreation One of the most beautiful settings in the Mother Lode. Easy drive from valley and bay area locations. Perfect outing for day or weekend of picnicking, camping, fishing, RV'ing and relaxing with the family. Roaring Camp Mining Company Located in the Mokelumne River Canyon, a 49er gold camp with prospecting cabins and camping, gold panning, gold prospecting, fishing, swimming, adventure tours and cookout tours. Open May through September. Salt Springs Valley Reservoir Campground Exclusive Personal Watercraft and Black Bass Fishing Lake with boat ramp. Jet ski Slalom and closed courses. Day use, overnight and long term camping available with general store and snack bar. Stanislaus National Forest/Calaveras Ranger District 16 developed camgrounds; individual tent and/or trailer sites along Highway 4, Dorrington to Sierra Crest. Sites are first-come, first-served, reservations available on some sites at Big Meadow campground. No hookups. Camping is available at undeveloped sites throughout district. 14 day maximum at all campgrounds.
